A So Hum Collective album download is for your own personal listening. Choose a recording for a quiet moment, keep the supplied files on a compatible device and return to the music when you want to hear it. Purchasing the files does not automatically include permission to redistribute them, upload them publicly or use them in a commercial project.
That distinction is useful before you buy. Someone choosing music for an evening at home needs a different permission from someone building a paid course or editing a public video. This page explains our current album offer; the product details and supplied terms are the place to check your specific purchase.
Start with the listening you want to do
For your own listening, begin with the music rather than the file specifications. Open the album page, hear a preview and notice whether you would like to spend more time with that recording. A personal music library can include different choices for meditation, relaxation or a reflective evening.
You do not need to choose one sound for every occasion. Our instrumental collections and vocal collection have different musical purposes. Use the samples to decide what fits your taste instead of assuming that every album in a wellness shop will sound alike.
Audio format and permission are separate questions
MP3 and WAV describe the supplied audio files. They do not tell you whether a recording may be used in a public video, class or commercial project. Receiving an original WAV file does not add production rights to a personal-listening purchase.
If you are choosing a format for your phone or computer, see our MP3 or WAV comparison. If your question is where the music may be used, read the album’s listening terms instead. Keeping those two decisions separate makes it easier to buy the right thing.
What comes with a So Hum album?
Our current digital albums supply MP3 and WAV editions, artwork and an accompanying guide or companion. The contents and track count are described on each product page. Albums can use separate ZIP downloads, and a larger WAV edition may be split into more than one part.
Download the package you want, extract it and open the individual tracks in a compatible player. The offline listening guide walks through that practical setup. A product-page preview lets you sample the music; it is separate from the full album delivered after purchase.
When should you ask about separate permission?
Ask before using a purchased recording for something outside your own listening. In particular, our album pages require separate permission for redistribution, resale and commercial use. The Piano Hour page also explicitly addresses public uploads and commercial projects.
- A reel, video or podcast: ask about the intended recording and publication, even if your own account is small.
- A class, retreat or client session: describe the setting and whether the music will be played live or included in a recording. Do not assume a personal album purchase covers that activity.
- Sharing the album with other people: share its product-page link so they can preview it themselves, rather than sending your downloaded audio files.
To enquire, email [email protected] with the track or album, the planned use, where it will appear and whether it will be recorded or sold. We can then clarify whether permission is available. An enquiry is not an automatic licence, and this guide does not add new rights to a purchase.
Keep the practical details together
Keep the order email, supplied guide and listening terms with your album files. If you later want to use a recording in a different way, return to those details and ask us before publishing or sharing it. For everyday listening, you can simply choose a familiar track and make a little room to enjoy it.
